This year, the new year of the Hegira will fall on either Saturday, November 26 or Sunday, November 27, 2011 depending on the moon.
On Wednesday, November 23, 2011, the Prime Minister annouinced that state officials, local authorities and public administrative staff and institutions will receive one day off.
This announcement comes in accordance with Decree No. 2011-317 of 26 March 2011 laying down public holidays and time off for the benefit of employees of the State, local authorities and administration.
