Walt Disney Interested in the Presidential Palace in Hammamet
On Friday 16th December, 2011, Moncef Marzouki announced the public auction of all the presidential palaces, except that of Carthage.
The call for tenders hasn’t fallen on deaf ears. Among the wealthy investors interested, is a very special man. Tunisian Jew, Jacques Levy (Vice President of Walt Disney Corporation) plans to offer $12 million (17 million dinars) for the purchase of the Presidential Palace in Hammamet – he intends to transform it into an entertainment center.
Jacques Levy, who works in Los Angeles in the world’s premiers entertainment company is also one of the major shareholders of the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts division. The annual turnover of this division is $11,797/
According to “identitejuive.com,” the choice of the presidential palace in by the sea in this beach resort in Tunisia is likely to strengthen nd boost the importance of the tourism industry in the country especially since Disney is searching for new and intersting places to explore.
