Mahdia is a place that have been looking forward to visiting for some time. Mahdia has a 'lazy town' reputation, a town where time stands still even in Tunisia where relaxation is a national sport. However to just dismiss Mahdia as fishing viliage would be hasty as this is a former Fatimid capital has plenty to justify a visit.

Yasmine Hammamet has a little bit of a mixed impression with many with some stating the obvious "its not the traditional Tunisia" etc which is naturally true but then is Las Vegas typical of the US not at all! BUt what Yasmine Hammamet certainly offers is one of Tunisia's grand projects offering tourists something modern clean and purpose built.

Tabarka Travel Guide

Funny thing perception I left Bizerte feeling that Tabarka would be miles away (much like Tunis citizens feel about Bizerte) but found it to be a 2 hour but very enjoyable trip I visited Tabarka from Bizerte and it is likely that you will come either from Tunis so please hold this in mind if you want to see some of the things that I took photos of.

Gabes

Gabes is something as strange as the worlds only seaside oasis. While the city is not that great, exploring the two parts of the oasis, the one between the city and the sea, and the one between the city and the desert, is fascinating.

Decorated boats

The oasis is based upon sources, 150 spread around the place, giving 650 litres of water each second. The agricultural produce here is not of the highest quality, as the dates can't be used for export, and other kinds of crop is cultivated in-between the dates.
