How hard is it to adjust to living in Tunisia ?

I think if you want to move here then you need two things, money (of course) and patience (in abundance) I have lived here for 15 months now and each day produces a new challenge. I live in a small village and work from home, it can be isolating at times. I would advise you to spend a little...

    Moving to Tunisia-advice needed

Good question, I am not sure is the honest answer. You certainly can get a lot more here than I thought and the exchange rate is great. It was very stressful, I honestly though I would collect my things and be on my way but it took about 2 weeks and 4 trips to Tunis, so if you are looking for an...

    Moving to Tunisia-advice needed

Hi Donna, I found that anyone I called would not answer my questions and often didn't answer at all. I got as much information as I could on the internet. I have had a look this morning and found this website https://www.gov.uk/living-in-tunisia, it is new so we didn't use it but maybe it will...

    Adopting a Little Tunisian

Hi Roulla, no, it is not allowed to take a child out of Tunisian for a least 10 years you have you have to sign documentation to state that you will not remove the child from Tunisia, it is not an easy process to adopt in Tunisia and even harder if you are not a Tunisian national.

    Adopting a Little Tunisian

I think that adoption in any country is a long process, however in Tunisia it is very difficult, you are not allowed to take the child out of the country for a number of years and as adoption is not allowed in the Muslim religion it complicates things, especially if you are not a Tunisian national.

    Paperwork required for grandchildren

Hi, He changed his name by de-poll, so his birth certificate has his original name, he has never applied for a Tunisian passport although they told us at the airport that he could and it would solve future problems, not sure I believe them.

    Paperwork required for grandchildren

I recently collected my two young grandsons from England and brought them over for the summer holidays. The eldest of the two had been to Tunisia on 2 separate occasions and we had never had any problems at the airport, so I didn't anticipate any this time. How wrong I was, when we arrived the...
