When hubby and I visited Sousse for a couple of days we had to show our marriage cert to be allowed to stay there but yet while we were there the animation were making real fools of them selves drunk almost having S-- with some of the drunken guests in the front lobby when I asked why this was allowed as we had a young child with us that could see how they were behaving they said the guests wanted the animation to be with them they could say nothing. Lol some rules for one and different rules for others was very clear to see.
They question the relationships of some and clearly not of others.
The hotel was a big 5 star and I did not expect such behaviour to be allowed and the women were treading on very dangerous ground they were in no position to protect themselves if anything had gone wrong. The hotel and their staff allowed it to happen and I would never visit it again.
What anyone does is their business but when it is for all to see it should be stopped whether guests want it or not these kind of actions should be reported as I did to stop offence to anyone.
The behaviour of these silly women clearly lead other staff members to tar all with the same brush and it is so wrong

Your last line says a lot and that is the worst part for Tunisia generally and the reputation it is getting as a holiday destination, so much more to such a beautiful country in actual fact.

I love Tunisia but I hate when all European's are tarred with the same brush....yes, some woman go there as sex tourists but now the majority just think we are all an easy lay. Works both sides of the coin though, how many people in Europe tar Tunisians with the same brush about being visa hunters?!!! Not fair on either side

The problem I had was that they were behaving in a disgusting manner in the hotel lobby when children were about and because they were tourists the staff refused to say anything. However they could have stopped their staff doing it. After demanding we show our marriage certificate before we could book a room I found thos very offensive to be honest.
The hotel was lovely and its a shame I would never go back due to how they let some guests and staff behave.
I am first to say all are not the same in every walk of life but this being allowed does not stop and i think only clarifies that many do behave in such a disgusting manner both male and female.

That is an understatement Essem I couldn't believe it. I know some who need to be sure you are married before they will let you stay there and I have no problem with that and they would never allow what went on go on in the hotel the staff would be sacked instantly some staff in hotels are not even supposed to chat with you out of work. Rules for some and rules for others like everywhere I guess love

I would report them to ABTA if that is the correct organisation. I would also have spoken to the girls, nicely of course ;)

If only these type of girls would raise their standards the Tunisian men, mainly in the tourist areas would have a different view of European women.

Oh I did speak to the girls, sorry women they were not young girls and if I am honest wasnt too polite but they were too drunk to take anything in. Hubby was upset tho because he was with me the guys presumed he was there for a good time too which didnt go down well at all and as he doesnt drink being a strict muslim he was disgusted and thats why we ended up upstairs he was shocked as he couldnt even get a coffee without buying it at the bar. Wont be staying there again but as I said before the hotel was beautiful in itself. It was the Elmouradi Roxie hun in sousse.

What a coincidence there were Libyans carrying on at the El Mouradi in Hammamet when I was there in June they were paying reception by the hour for rooms, but they were with wh*res, not sure if they were Tunisian or Libyan!!! I might add the animation team were very polite and really nice, didn't see them all over the guests which was nice. Essem and myself had a nice chat with one guy there he was very polite and impressed with Essems arabic...

The women were the disgarce to be honest how any one can get themselves into a state where they dont know what they are doing or where is totally beyond me and I am no prude just have self respect these women clearly didnt and if they had been hurt then the guys would have been the bad ones for taking advantage but they should allow it to be able to happen in the first place.
What i couldnt and still can not believe is that such a lovely hotel would want to get a bad reputation like they will if it continues and the fact children were about Mo was with us but there were plenty of younger ones running about too. Ihad one of the women walking out of the toilet into the lobby literally pulling her kn-----s up and having to lean against the wall to hold herself up. The guys were def Tunisian as I say they thought Mal was at the same game he was horrified with both the women and the men.
One of the waiters was lovely and he did apologize but he told us if he said anything he would lose his job, its a shame

Is that the El Mouradi in PEK Marie? Just done a week there for New Year with hubby and some other friends. The staff and the Animation team have to say were absolutely exemplery...however.... the girls/women round them were the biggest load of tarts (sorry cant find any other words for them!). I actually had a run in with one on our last night cos hubby and some people wed befriended at the hotel from UK and Ireland actually decided to watch the Entertainment on the last night as all the husbands were taking part (the traversty one where they dress up as women!!) Jeez!!! anyway i was taking a few photos of them on the stage with a guy from Ireland, we were against the wall so not obstructing anyones view, next thing you know this girl started fing and jeffing at me (turns out she was the DJS latest squeeze) to get out of the way. Told her id be going in a minute and wasnt in her way anyway. Next thing you know she is asking me to go outside with her!!!!!!!!!!purleease, 4 times she came in my face when i was sat back down with friends and on the 4th time the red mist came down on me and i went outside, she grabbed me by the neck and instantly regretted it!!!. She was then escorted off to her room by the staff and told in no uncertain terms not to come out of her room again while my husband was in the hotel!!!!. He was oblivious to all of this as he was too busy acting out some 7 months pregnant lolita on stage (god knows!!!) however the hotel couldnt do enough for me and husband (think they knew hed explode if he saw her!). The DJ was nowhere to be seen for the rest of the holiday however the Animation team were fantastic about it all and so so apologetic..... These girls/women do nothing but show themselves up when they go on holiday and 'unleash' themselves.......

oh well the staff were ok just were not prepared to say anything to the women/tarts and as you say there is no other way to decribe them because they were guests, Hell we were guests too but leaving only there on overnight stop before flying home. The animation were some of the men involved and were almost as drunk as the women. All I can say if they are married or not all concerned were discraceful. The hotel was lovely and i would go again but will not go where this behavuiour is seen to be ok when children and decent guests are around.
Sorry but for people o be able to cause trouble because they are a sqeeze or anything of the animation is just not acceptable and this was my problem. Staff bing ok is onething knowing how to deal with things that happen is another we all pay to go there but obviously when you drink you spend more cash so more important, will take my cash elsewhere.

Thought it could have been just a certain group of women Marie was talking about but if you too ran into some I wonder what is going on? Didn`t check way back through the thread but were these women Brits? We better anyway on here emphasize as much as we can how the hotel is quality and by your comments worth staying at, at the same time for any silent guests on here, that these women are regarded as despicable by the rest of us.

For once no they werent Brits!! they were from Belgium. She was drunk, she thought she was important cos she was with the DJ!!!! How it was handled by everyone there though was brilliant, couldnt have asked for more... I could have walked away i guess, however, if you have someone in your face again and again and again then it just pushes all those buttons. It would never stop me staying at this hotel again though... i think its fab and whenever we go to Sousse thats where we stay and always will. This isnt a new thing and we all know its not exclusive to one hotel, you only have to look around you when youre there and you know exactly why these girls have gone on holiday there....

The ones I encountered 2 were brits the other was french. Yes Cas the hotel is well worth the money we paid and it was a good price we booked a room for the night for 2 adults and 1 child they originally took the money for all of us but when we were leaving they gave Mal the money for Mo back thought at firsdt it was because we complained but it wasnt even the same guy we spoke to. The thing that upset me most was that because hubby is Tunisian the anim, ation and others there tarred him with the same brush he was so upset and the fact he is more of a tradiional mulsim from the edge of the Sahara (tents lol) he had never seen anything like it before.
The fact is tho Jane hun the staff should cover all guests with the same respect and the one we spoke to just had no idea what to do he was scared to offend them because they were guests but didnt want us upset either the powers that be should set certain rules and no matter who you are should have to follow those rules. just my opinion of course
