TI: What are the contributions of your website to Tunisian tourism "
KH: Of course, Tunisia is a beautiful country that wants to increase the number of its visitors.
The British tourist is only moderately informed of the possibility of a stay in Tunisia. It is clear that a more than 62% of the population in the United Kingdom, use the Internet to book a trip. With this figure, a net increase in the number of visitors, our site will be well positioned and participate substantially to the promotion of Tunisian tourism.
TI: What interest is the www.tunisia.com to hotels, voyages agencies and other enterprises touristique Tunisian
KH: Our goal is to provide opportunities for advertising has all the Tunisian organisations. We are particularly interested companies to submit our lists of directories that are really indispensable for hotels, tour operateurs attractions, restaurants and discotheques. A basic list is free, but we recommend "A Premium listing" or prices are very attractive. This means that a company in Tunisia will be exposed on the Internet with its own page. It is very useful for companies that have a small Web site and / or limited funds to try to optimize i.e. search engine.
We are also concerned to help enterprises make their events and news about the intenet in English and this free if I event or news on merit.

Tunisia.com
www.tunisia.com
Use Tunisia.com as a stepping stone to finding out about this wonderful country, whether you are planning a holiday or a business trip. This site, which is in its infancy, has a fabulous url and its future looks bright. Within time, it will build into a valuable resource on Tunisia and its people.
The site has a clean interface and is split into five areas. Travel Guides is a strong section with lots of information on the country's tourist attractions with images and illustrations. You can search their database of over 500 hotels and 200 restaurants, read reviews and write your own.
The section for business travellers provides background on doing business in Tunisia, etiquette and investment opportunities. The list of agencies that can help with this is a useful addition.
The chat forums will provide a platform to air your views across a range of Tunisian related topics, perhaps a recommendation for a good restaurant or where the best beaches are.
The Culture section covers the country's history, useful phrases, family life and more.

Tunisian Romance Leads to Export Success for Norwich Web Designer
Company Name: Zoomzoom
When Norwich web developer Kristen Heavens was wooing his Tunisian wife-to-be, he looked to the internet for information on her home country.
His pursuit of love led him to discover the valuable www.tunisia.com site was not active. He decided to buy the address and build it into an information portal for tourists. Just one year later, with the help of UK Trade & Investment, www.tunisia.com is the leading independent English language website for information on Tunisia, with its links to property, hotels and shops.
Kristen, 27, and his wife Hajer, 25, who were married eight weeks ago, used UKTI's Passport to Export programme to learn about export trade and build contacts with Tunisian businesses and potential partners. Now they plan to open a sales and editorial office in the country by the end of the year.
Kristen, who is director of Zoomzoom, a web design agency, said:
"I met my wife, who is from Northern Tunisia, one year ago in Norwich. I wanted to find out more about her country, and went to www.tunisia.com to find it was not active. These sites are like gold dust. I discovered the site was owned by a Californian who was not interested in developing it. We decided to take the plunge and buy it last September."
French and Arabic are the languages spoken in Tunisia, and the main Tunisian sites are www.tunisie.com and www.tunisonline.com. The number of English-speaking visitors to Tunisia is growing every year, and www.tunisia.com is well placed to take advantage of this boom.
Kristen commissioned a UKTI Overseas Market Introduction Service (OMIS) report before visiting Tunisia. He was assisted by the British Embassy in Tunis who booked meetings with the country's leading property website and traders from the Souk, who are set to sell goods online at http://souk.tunisia.com from late December. A Commercial Officer from the Embassy accompanied him during business meetings to help with language skills and cultural do's and don'ts.
He used UKTI's Passport to Export programme to receive support in developing the website and part-funding for travel costs to visit the market.
Kristen said:
"It would be expensive for us to travel to Tunisia all the time, but the Embassy attaché Rached Chaibi has given us a real foot in the door. He has helped produce our plan and feasibility study and made contact with businesses on the ground. When the Embassy contacts a potential partner on your behalf, they instantly know you aren't a cowboy.
"We are trying to court demand in a market that has little experience of web-based business. The Embassy has helped us at every stage. Without them it would have been impossible. The service from UKTI is fantastic - I would recommend it to anyone."
John Rimmer, International Trade Advisor for East of England International which delivers UKTI services in the region said:
"www.tunisia.com is full of potential and the business is already proving very successful. The thing I find most impressive is that all this income from Tunisia is being generated from Norwich. Kristen Heavens has taken full advantage of the services on offer from UKTI."
