Third World Forum on Music will take place in Tunisia

Tunisia will host the Third World Forum on Music from October 17th  till 22nd ,in fact the International Music Council (IMC) has opted for Tunisia since it’s a land of culture and musical diversity as the choice of Tunisia to play host to this event reflects Tunisia's prime position on the international scene and the special interest taken in music, reminding of the national consultation on music in 2007 ordered by the Head of State.

In this regard,, Mr. Richard Letts, IMC President pointed out  that the Forum will offer an  ideal framework to exchange knowledge and experience in music, to improve  future expectation  for this art.

The 2009 World Forum on Music will focus on five areas which IMC considers of crucial importance to the world of music.

The main theme is cultural diversity, where do we stand? Music as a vector for dialogue, creativity and innovation in music distribution; new approaches to music education; changing audiences: challenges for art music around the world.

150 foreign experts and participants will be present for the Six Tunisian musical shows  which are on the agenda of this meeting.

It’s worthy to mention that Tunisia is IMC member since the 1960s. IMC presents its World Forum on Music as a global-knowledge building platform on music and society in the 21st century, which is inspired by a variety of  themes  from diverse culture.
