Tunisia's German tourist drive
Tunisia's minister of tourism has met with his German counterpart in a bid to boost the number of German visitors to Tunisia.
Tijani Haddad met with Enst Hinskens in Tunis to discuss strategies during the German minister's work-related visit.
Mr Haddad spoke of his pleasure in the role Germany was playing in advertising Tunisia as a holiday destination and said the country "remains a privileged destination for German tourists".
Mr Hinskens revealed his ambition to further strengthen ties between the two countries and said Tunisia's identity as a holiday destination was well-suited to what German tourists are looking for.
Every year over 500,000 German tourists visit Tunisia and Mr Hinskens said that this was down to the country's diversity and quality of service.
The German minister also pointed to Tunisia's re-election at the head of the Executive Council of the World Tourism Organisation as a positive move.© Adfero | More Tunisia News/>/>/>/>/>/>/>/>/>/>
