this mosque was built in 1675, it is named after Tunis' patron saint , who saved the city after it was captured by Abu Yazid during a rebellion against Fatimid rule in AD 944. His Tomb lies opposite the entrance to the mosque , in the" Zaouia of sidi Mahrez".
the mosque is ranked as one of the city's finest ottoman buildings , with a fine white topping of curvaceous cupolas and half-copulas surrounding the central dome.
this place is extremely wonderful , it shows the history of Tunis with a broader view :)

I really love this place and I go there every time I go to Tunisia.
It is situated in the heart of the souk ejjadid on the way down to bab swika.
you should try sometime
